@lpvidsishot You should castor oil. Before I would use, mousse, gel, hairspray, but it would only make some parts hard and others very ugly, poofy, and dry. But now I use castor oil. I get out the shower, put a little castor oil all over my hair and the curls stay ALL day, it leaves my hair very soft & natural, its soooo much faster, saves you money, and much better for your hair. You can find it in Walmart for like less then 3 bucks (:

The hair that you're actually teasing though is straight.. this wouldn't work for people with curly roots like me. Unfortunately I'm almost positive if I did this, it would take an hour to brush out. Is your hair not naturally curly or do you just straighten the front/top?

how do you keep your curls in so well? Do you use a specefic gel because mine fall throughout the day so it just turns into loose waves in some areas. :(
