While I wasn't particularly fond of the story in Final Fantasy 10 (or Tidus and Yuna), it had an undeniably great ending. You don't get many showtune AMVs, but this song was just too appropriate to pass up.
The visuals come from FFX, plus the Yuna's Dream sequence from X-2. The song comes from the original London cast recording of Les Miserables, performed by Patti Lupone.

This song fits the video perfectly! It was just how I imagine the MV would be. It almost brought tears to my eyes. I love FFX and Les Miserables.

This goes with the song. Not as in every clip matches in sync, but think about it, she's singing about how at first everything seemed great, but her dreams ultimately didn't turn out. Ultimately she finds that her quest is really a doomed cycle, and that the only way to resolve it takes her love from the world.

Thanks. It hit me how perfect this song would be the first time I played the game. There's a big difference between Fantine's story and Yuna's, but the song works for both.

Patti LuPone isn't my favourite Fantine either, but she's the one I had and she's also the one who originated this song.
