I always love Eden and Cruz bed scenes in the early years. It wasn't only romantic, it was often really funny too. So cute how Marcy kisses Cruz the whole time while he was talking on the phone. And how A took the wire in his mouth while Eden was talking. They were the best!

I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed watching all these episodes from early 1985! My family didn't get a VCR until later that year and I was in school, so I have only read summaries of them until now. Thank you so much, and if you ever have any more I would love to see them!

"The Change in Me" - I never get tired of that song. SB had a crackerjack music dept. - mixing the contemporary tunes of the day with their own original songs. As much as I like this one, my fave E&C song has to be "Shelter From the Storm" - first used in the Utah storyline of 1987.

@jezzfan33 yes i see what you mean...altho' this sentiment did not come across in your post :) there are definitely a great ensemble casrt on thes show - it wud not have succeeded otherwise... i like the others, but frm what ive seen of a martinez, i think he really is a talented man.

@soiutube Ok I may not have expressed myself in the best way. I'm not going to say Martinez is not a decent actor, but what's frustrating is that people think he was the greatest just because the was the main character and got more time. There were other just as good and perhaps better actors on that show and wherever I look at SB on the net, it's 95% Cruz-related. I am just bitter that he gets much more attention than talented ones just because they wrote him as a hero, people just bought it.

of course charles bateman is good, but one only has to watch more of a martinez to know his true talent. in fact, his whole range is there for all to see in Santa Barbara. there are very few actors who can cry convincingly and love onscreen as if they have loved the person for ages. its all in the eyes. i think you assessment is incorrect. but to each his own...

I'm loving this to. I didn't come to see SB till Jed Allen was playing CC and Keith and Santana where around. Thanks for the old clips. Fun to see what I missed. I guess I never knew Sophia wasn't around the whole time. When I was watching she was their mom period

Even the old guy at the beginning is way better in every aspect than Cruz or should I say OVERRATED. Where in the heck is KEITH?
