  • this movie used to freak me out as a kid...

  • One of the most unique vampire films around that shows unconventional vampires

  • I love ALIEN! Best original film ever!.. oh, wait-

  • Alien was more of a modern remake of "It the Terror from Beyond Space" than anything to do with this movie. It,s one of the best outer space sci-fis from the old days. Bava was also the director of the Steve Reeves "Hercules" movies, the best of that genre.

  • @ChristophersRants ALIEN ripped off some of the plot, but the huge, empty sets are a throwback to the 1950s ufo movies, like THIS ISLAND EARTH.

and there were no real sets for the alien planet, which is why the planet is mostly fog, to hide that there was no money for exteriors.

  • Alien ripped this movie off just saying look at the sets i love this movie Planet of the vampires is a true classic

  • If you've never seen this film, it is a stylish and effective combination of science fiction and horror, one of the first.

  • "And suddently, inside a cave, they found a family of vampires. The Cullen family." OH, SHIT,

  • Yeah, somehow I think the costume designers for First Class had been watching Planet of the Vampires at some stage.

  • @AceTrax2007 I was just thinking the same thing, they remind me of the uniformd from Bryan Singer's first X-Men movie.
