The I AM Foundation's Book Gifting Mission to Kenya




In the fall of 2008, The I AM Foundation partnered with HUB (Humanity Unites Brilliance) to deliver a Book Gifting Mission to 17,000 children in Kenya. We experienced first hand what the children are like at school in the slums of Nairobi as we gifted them copies of The I AM! Affirmation Book: Discovering The Value of Who You Are written in both English and Swahili. We also visited Nakuru where children had just been trough the tragedy of tribal wars. The I AM! Affirmation Book provided comfort and healing to the children.

The most amazing thing to watch was a team of 30 volunteers be able to instantly connect with the children through reading The I AM! Affirmation Book with them in English and for them to see the words in Swahili. This opened our eyes to the fact that a heartfelt connection between volunteer and child could happen almost instantaneously. The children needed the contact and so did the volunteers. Before you knew it the children were saying and embodying the affirmations in The I AM! Affirmation Book.

The I AM Foundation printed The I AM! Affirmation Book in English and Swahili at a printer in Nairobi, Kenya. We have a network all built there and ready to do another book gifting mission. We also have a network in Ghana to tap into. Our intention is to be able to gift our second children's book in The Love~Wisdom Series: I Am The Earth: Positive Affirmations for Loving Our Planet Book and Music Album to the children of the world. I Am The Earth supports children and adults in being great stewards of the planet and plants a tree with every book.
