I bet toyota was the first one to complain... I think the silverados next commercial should be a prius stuck full throttle and crashing into a atomic bomb in the middle of japan.. then the silverado comes out of the rubble with Tim Allen saying "Chevrolet always comes out on top just like our country".

I'm sorry critic, but GM (nobody for that matter) need your permission to use OUR (that means everyone that is a US citizen) history and past to do anything including make a commercial b/c it is as much part of GM's past as it is to everyone else.

I hope Chevy continues to make commercials like this.. this type of shit pisses me off.. oh they are using emotion to sell a truck boo hoo.. shut the fuck up and go in a corner and cry about it. There is nothing wrong with that commercial. It's showing that Americans prevail threw the worst of times and prosper for ideas and better ways of life. They are basically reminding the American people "Hey, this is our country, our workforce, our way of life, and the vehicle we make to get us all threw it."
And they have every right to use 9/11 and Katrina, Chevy trucks where used to save and distribute help during Katrina, same with 9/11.
