I've never heard a quote where Jimi said he hated the Telecaster, and I'm a major Jimi fan.

@ilovebigfurypie well he did occasionally play telecasters as well as sgs. but the daft thing about the ad is that i don't think that he started with an expensive fender ^^

@ilovebigfurypie I think that you are wrong too. The first e-guitar that Jimi had was a white Supro Ozark. It was an LP style guitar. The commercial is innaccurate because it is a commercial. Everybody on planet Earth knows that Hendrix did not play a Telecaster. He had a right handed Stratocaster and played it left handed. That was his TRADEMARK.

@sunp If you can read, pick-up a bio of Jimi. He was 15 years old when he got his first guitar. Lets add that up. 1942 + 15 = 1957. Now who's the MORON!!! Also, Jimi Hendrix HATED the Telecaster. He claims it only has two sounds and they both suck. You need to do some very simple research just like that ad agency should have done before making these stupid mistakes.
