this type of pontoon bridge maintains bouyancy with submerged pontoons that exceed the load bearing and are kept in place with anchors, thereby providing stability during fluctuating sea conditions, such as waves, as well as not being effected by forces applied to the bridge from cars and trucks because the submerged sections bouyancy exceeds the load bearing at any point, so the force that is provided by the submerged section exceeds the force being applied to the road by the car or truck, so the road does not move up or down and is stable, the bouant side sections provide added stability for the roadway, this could also be a cheap air craft carrier for your armed forces as it is less vulnerable than existing and obselete air craft carriers, with planes being loaded onto the air strip from a submarine or other that is more tactically suitable. and at eleven hundred dollars a metre of bridge, your air craft carrier could be as cheap as three hundred thousand dollars to land cargo planes comfortably eliminating the need to come to port, or being reliant on deep sea ports that may be enemy targets.

this is a pontoon bridge proposal for an opening bridge to be constructed between Spain and Morocco, including a conceptual model of the bridge and function, this is a viable option it would be a valued trade link and would enable tourism as well as trucks that are soon to operate on hydrogen from tap water and electric trucks to operate making trucking that much more viable, between Africa and Europe through Morocco. This would earn monies for governments on either side by way of increased taxes and would be very positive for trade and relations between Africa and the African Union and Europe and the European Union. This would further society in all regards on both sides and would further be positive for all parties concerned, in particular myself as I have aspirations of going on a road trip to the Ivory Coast and at present day would need to go on a ferry that would take several hours instead of 15 minutes and is 150Euro's as opposed to the approximate 15 Euros that I would rather pay for crossing the bridge. This is viable, there is already a ferry service in place, so the consideration that there might be some sort of discourse for international safety reasons is clearly not there, people already freely travel between Europe and Africa, it would be exactly the same as catching a ferry though would take about fifteen minutes to cross, and then probably another five minutes to get cleared by customs on either side before entering. There are further considerations in real terms that are positive on both sides, and when considering the positives they may well outweigh the negatives, the only one of which I have heard is that people on recreational yachts might loose a couple of hours whilst waiting for the bridge to open, though beyond that there is no other reason that might make this project not viable, in particular the cost, spanning the distance of 14 kilometres, approximately twenty million dollars, or eleven hundred dollars per metre of bridge with the structure being constructed entirely of polymers, and fiberglass, requiring no maintenance.
