I hav 2 male bettas 2 one day when I was clean the tank they eneded up on the same side I. Didn't notice this untill about an hour later at first I freaked out and seperated them but no harm was done and when I did see them they weren't fighting that's pretty cool huh they hav been liveing next to eachother for quite some time mabey that's y they didn't fight

@HumanBehindTheDog there is nothing wrong with bettas living together so long as one in male and all others are female. the males produce the most aggression on each other. bettas do live together in the wild male and female wise but not male and male. the more females a make has in his territory the better chance he knows he has at spreading his genes. its genetics, they will tolerate the opposite sex with little to no flaring or aggression. they will also school when young.

@HumanBehindTheDog actually this is not true take a five inch oscar and five one inch neon tetras, of course because of its eating habits the oscar would produce a far larger mess than the five tiny neon tetras and filter strength is also a common factor that is forgotten good luck ^-^

@Lisa41794 My suggestion to everyone is not to allow yourself to be responsible for telling someone its safe. When they lose their fish dont be the one who caused the poor choice. Say no to others about mixing Bettas.
