In order to keep Israel safe, the rule of privecy is less effective than the rule of protection. Therefore the soldier had to be certain they aren't delivering illegal things or bombs and such, and in order to that they have to deliver force to show those passengers that they control so they'll sit silently till they are done searching. they havn't hurt anybody, they did it to keep the safety of Israel Cavillians period.
