I learned some wise words one time from a long time DJ of over 45yrs for a healthy relationship. There are 2 (invisible) hats. The husband/boyfriend/relationship­/family hat, and a DJ/Business hat. This man would stop for 5sec at the door to his home and take off his DJ hat, and put on his relationship hat. This was a reminder to him to never mix work, with home life. This was a great little story I will never forget.

My ex used to freak out about it. I stopped for a good amount of time. It killed me not to be able to play music as a musician, DJ, and just be the all around entertainer.

Finding a woman with enough self security is hard as it is, but when you do, it'll be worth the wait.

I am in the minority here, as a female DJ, and I've also been married 13 years. My take on trust issues: If you're not doing something that warrants distrust, everything should be fine. A relationship between two people involves adult behavior, trust and equality. It is not about controlling another person's life. If you find yourself involved with someone who feels the need to control you, they have issues, and aren't ready to be in a relationship. The best thing to do is just get out.

I am married for 7 years now. At first i think me DJing was a hidden problem for her becuase of jealousy issues. Now I was a Dj going in like you Brian but she was uncomfortable but didnt voice that to me until we had a big blowout about it and the truth came out. But with us sitting down and discussing her concerns we settled the dispute and its all good now. I think Relationship and Djing there has to be an understanding from the start. definate good communication is needed. Agree ???
