The LMP series still can be open. GM wanted to have Cars with - Two Seats - Silouets of a Production Car - less Power but this change are not applied cause Audi and some LMP2 Teams said they would not come to Le mans with this rules.
Peugeot is driving ALMS and the advantage of the Series. AFAIR Audi wants to drive LMS in the next Saison.
Peugeot has tuned their car up this year, they have more horsepower and better aero then the Audi R-10 TDI. The Peugeot 908 has faced the R-10 twice this year, and both times it has outqualified the R-10s AND had better race pace, 1-2 seconds a lap quicker.

Watch the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP stomp a mudhole in the Audi R10 TDI
yeah i heard that this is the last year for open cockpit cars which in my opinion is stupid cause i find they look better hopefully some people agree with me
The Audi R10 looks just so much quicker than the Peugeot 908 on the straight lines, and also much more secure in the corners. I think we didn't see the R10 pushed to its limits in 2007 either. In fact, looking at ACO's official data on sector times, it looks as the R10s went slower in 2007 than in 2006, except for the modified Tetre Rouge (which led to the faster times & higher top speeds). The top cars managed 339 km/h on pt.1 of Mulsanne in 2007!
i cant wait until the 2010 rules it would be sick to c a closed cockpit audi (even tho i hate audi) i hope porsche does enter a gtp car or even a lmp2 closed cockpit rs spyder
I agree with u i hate Audi but if the design for their closed cockpit is the real one i will cheer 4 tht lol
plus tht wud be gd a closed rs spyder or even a brand new lmp 1 closed cockpit porsche if tht happened le mans wud be epic peugeot, audi and porsche all racing for the win
