THAT WAS AWESOME!

Omg! I've sang in this church before! The reverb in that place is ridiculous. Somebody counted 7 second after a loud clap. Beautiful venue and acoustics. I only wish I could've heard Darius sing in there.
-
It's out of sync though. Anyone got this in regular sync?
-
I could listen to him sing this song all day... amazing
-
I just love the dudes smiling their asses off in the background 'cause this guy is such a baller. He's the MAN
-
@tyrizzo1 Its never a full belt because he is mixing a lot, which is a lot healthier than belting. He'll maintain his voice for a long long time and it still has the same effect as belting.

@tyrizzo1 @tyrizzo1 Sorry tyrizzo I've been singing tenor for over 25yrs and there's no such thing as a low head voice. Alomst everyone can easily decrease the volume in their lower register 'cause it's the most comfortable part of their range. When Darius is in his lower register he doesn't have to belt. During the highest part w/the runs he's hitting a C# and the last note he sustains in an A so he's definitely doing a full belt the whole time he's singing anything above middle C.

@JAGEME Whole step up actually. Original is G major, this is in A major.

Come to my church please????
-
One can only dream...
-
Absolutely unreal.

Bravo sir, that was MAGNIFICANT.

To all those who say that this is a higher key, you are right. Those that protest do it on the basis that Darius was the original Cain. This is actually a misconception. The production at the Paper Mill Playhouse, with Darius, was actually the SECOND major production. The first was in the Prince Edward's theater on the West End in London. The recording is incredibly rare, but I believe that this song is sung in the proper key. This is not a slight at Darius whom I love, these are merely facts.

Darius de Haas, singing here in this concert, happens to be the Original actor who played the part first in the U.S. and he is the same person singing on the the soundtrack recording.
-
brilliant <3
-
@tyrizzo1 no shade but thats the actual original singer of the song lol
-
This key is a halfstep up, and he does a good job with the high part, but what he is doing is a low headvoice into his belt. Its never a full belt
-
Too bad the audio/video sync is off... Still awesome though. Thanks for posting!
-
@stupideye89 he is singing it higher thn the original

@fliedlice101 This guy is doing it a half step higher than it is written in originally. The key that it's sung in doesn't make a difference the power the song has, you should stop being concerned about what key a song is in, it means nothing. People are built differently and have a certain range the can sing in, changing keys helps compensate for that.
