Part 2 of a refutation of author John J May's anti evolution and anti science videos.

In this video we discuss mitosis, cell division, the behavior of sperm and the validity of a designer. We also have the usual array of logical fallacies exhibited by the creationist.

  • An excellent, eloquent and educational couple of videos. It really is scary how arrogance and ignorance actually have him believing that the great minds of the last few hundred years have all been wrong. People who have dedicated their whole lives in the pursuit of further understanding how everything has come to be how it now is.....

I thank the universe for people like you who have the intellect, education, facts, flair and social conscience to shine the spotlight on the muppet . Nice one!!

  • @hilmon1 Thank you, its very kind of you to leave such a nice comment and thank you for your support.

  • LOL!!,if this man does not believe in science and Evolution, then who are his students!!??,one of the biggest evidence that evolution is happening and currently happening is the points system, every year the Department of Education are constantly increasing the points to make it harder for students to get into a particular course or college,is it becasue the numbers are growing,or is it because the standards are becoming higher,or is it because people are becoming smarter?.

  • @Elevationary

What you are describing is called the Flynn effect. I am not sure it is due to evolution even though it would support my case if it was so. For a mutation to spread through the genetic population takes quite a long time and it is unlikely that all our parents had the exact same mutation simultaneously. It is more easily explained via environmental factors not genetic ones in my opinion. There is a myriad of evidence against him on this and he clearly understands none of it.

  • I think books like these need to be written and published. When idiocy is put out like this it promotes reality! I learned so much from these two videos that I wouldn't have learned otherwise! There always has to be objective thinking in society; even thinking so ludicrous as this!

Great video dude, I really liked it! Keep up the good work!

  • @2:00 ish + I started humming the Monty Python tune "Every Sperm is Sacred". If we are so damn intelligently designed, so tuned to make our way to the egg, then WHY THE FUCK is that process so wasteful? He makes a money shot sound like a sequel to "Fievel Goes West". His whole argument boils to him being too dumb to understand something therefore it's magic from his god. As amazing as biology is, appeals to bullshit answers none of the questions biology poses properly.

  • Great video. You are doing important work and I salute you. Please keep fighting against this dangerous irrationality.

  • Great Job. I watched his video, and I don't think there was a single sentence that was not either an appeal to magic or just plain wrong. Most were both.

  • Saw this guys book in the barbers today, read about a chapter while waiting, I reckon if i'd gotten any further my IQ would have decreased

  • Excellent video man. Although I think my brain nearly exploded listening to that fool. How could we possibly have a minister for science who would even consider endorsing anti-scientific bullshit like this.

I bet the one dislike came directly from Mr. May himself.

  • @TheOxy2006 They have to be taking the piss though, didn't UCC have David Irvine do a guest lecture on the Holocaust a few years ago?
