The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) held its 24th convocation on September 5, 2011 at the University's main campus at Maidan Garhi for students passing in June 2011 Term- End Exam(TEE), announced Vice-Chancellor Prof. V. N. Rajasekharan Pillai.
The 24th convocation was held at the Sanchar Kendra in University's main campus at Maidan Garhi from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. It was simultaneously organised at the 44 regional centres (except Delhi-1, Delhi-2, Delhi-3 and Regional Centre-Noida) wherever the number of candidates attending the convocation is expected to be 50 or more.
Eligible candidates of Delhi-1, Delhi-2, Delhi-3 and RC-Noida were invited to the main function at the headquarters. An exhibition was organised for the event wherein each regional centre of the capital will be participating along with the provision for career counselling facility which shall be provided with the help of professional career counselling agencies.
The students go themselves registered for the 24th convocation by paying Rs.400 per degree/ certificate at the convocation or in absentia. Award tof gold medals to the meritorious students will be given for June 2011 Term End Examination. In this regard, Prof. G. Ram Reddy Memorial Medal, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Cash award, CEMCA cash award and Prof. Grover award December 2010 and June 2011 TEE will be taken into account.
I was eligible for this convocation but I did not attend.
