TC Electronic Nova System & Nova Drive MIDI

Made this for a TC video contest.

Sorry, no sounds. Just showing how to program and connect the two units together. The midi part doesn't have anything to do with your audio signal so you can plug everything anyway you want. Ex. Nova Drive going in front of the amp and Nova System in the FX loop. Or Nova Drive into Nova System into Amp input.

Hello, thanks for sharing! I happen to have the nova system and the nova drive, and an ernie ball 6166 but I can't make the 6166 work properly. I calibrate it with the nova system but it starts to grow halfway and suddenly, doesn't grow gradually. I connected it mono, from the out of the 6166 to de pedal in of the nova system. I hope you can help me! Thank you!

@Janoline6 Hello! Ummm... I use the Ernie Ball Jr. and I get the same problem, the sweep is not as smooth as I would like it to be. I tried a couple things (none of them worked) and in doing research here and there I found this dbinstrumentamp. com/drupal/content/easy-expres­sion-converter, I haven´t tried yet but it might work, if you try it let me know how it goes.

Hi, I'm going to use my NS in the effects loop, combined with a Nova Drive just like you explain here. Do you have any experience with the whammy in the fx-loop? How does that sound?

@svyatagor It works... That's all I can really say. Depending on your FX loop (parallel, series), amp, guitar, settings, etc. you might have different results. I wouldn't expect a Digitech Whammy identical sound with the Nova System, it's a whammy and it does it's job, not amazing not horrible. Like everything, you'll have to tweak a lot, but again, it works.

Not enough people listen to circus maximus :) I rate them right up there with dream theater in the Prog stylee. Great video man getting a nova system this week can't wait.
