I have a 55 gal with a fluval 305 looking to set up my 29 with angels and discus

Three questions
1- how hardy are discus?
2- how easy/hard are they to look after?
3- can I keep two discus and three angelfish in my 29 gal owing to the fact I'd get a fluval U4 after I get enough money?

i can keep a discus in a 29 gal!

can i keep 1 discus as my centre piece fish in a 37 gallon tank along with:
6 platies
3 female guppies
8 corydoras
6 cardinal tetras
4 neon tetras
and im getting:
2 cockatoo chiclids
WITHOUT ANY FIGHTING AND THAT THE DISCUS WONT EAT MY OTHER FISH IS THIS A GOOD IDEA??????

Aw.. Ive never had that problem with gouramis, did you try getting them smaller than your fish? I heard this helps a little when dealing with semi aggressives. Arent discus supposed to be aggressive? Either way your tank is gorgeous and I love the plants and gravel... Looks awesome, keep us all updated... Good luck.

You should throw in some small gouramis... They would look really good in there.. I have 2 red passions from petco, 4 tetras and a pictus cat fish, still working on getting more.. Transitioning right now to a 30 gal from a 10.

i had gouramis before, i had some pearl gourami's and they were too aggressive so i stoped trying gourami's kinda sucked cuz i liked them but i couldn't keep them
