Brilliant, simply brilliant. I love the song, and I love the animation and the story. It's really moving, and the ambiguity of the characters really shows how relationships are the same on a fundamental level, regardless of gender. (:

Guys this song fits it perfectly. It's personal memories, the soundtrack to a life. Who are we to say it doesn't work with the video? I personally think it adds a new depth of personality to the whole thing.
