  • That wasn't made with a video camera. It was a "super eight" movie with sound recorded on the film. It was made by my late dad, W6VGQ (Bob Jensen). I had the film professionally converted to DVD and then posted it here for all to see. I hope you enjoyed it. BTW, the super 8 film cameras were comparable in price to what a video camera is today.

  • Looks like he is using two broadcast audio processors - a volumax and audiomax to level and make loud the ham radio voice audio. That's probably why the reapeater sounded so good. Probably always "loud and clear".

  • Must've been quite wealthy. Not everyone could afford a video camera and microphone in 1976!!

  • This 1976 film is GOLD! I love it!

  • Whats REALLY funny here is the AC hum! Burt is certainly NOT a AC hum, clicks, pops or distortion kind of a guy :) That repeater was one of the best sounding ever on 2 meters.

  • Why isn't this more people's favorite? Burt K6OQK is a riot.
