Llyod played a great charicter and gave Chaplin a run for his money in a few instantes. This was one of his "Dare-devil" movies. He only did about three or four in his career, but he was mostly rememberd for "Safty Last".
He only had three fingers on his right hand when he did this movie.

It is really a pitty that Lloyd is forgotten today. He was a genius! There was a kind of revival of his pictures in the mid-eighties. Maybe the internet can keep the memory alive. He was always very friendly to his fans!

I would think Buster was great, but everyone has there own opinion. This guy shouldn't call Buster a loser because it wouldn't be respectful too a guy that's dead.

Harold, Harold, HAROLD!!!!!
-
I think he's better than Chaplin

Lol! Looks like a Welding Inspector I knew trying to get out and inspect full pens. Dam, he left fingerprints all over the Iron.

@MuttleyMeen He was on a skyscraper and did not use stunt men.
-
@MuttleyMeen actually the routine was filmed on a girder setup built on top of another skyscraper - and the set-up was built very close to the edge...so it is a very dangerous stunt indeed.
And don't forget he lost the thumb and forefinger of his right hand in 1919 (he wears a leather glove with fake digits).and yet still did all those incredible stunts.
Chaplin at his best is superb - but Chaplin's weakness was always sentimentality and that marred a number of his films.

lmfao this actually made me laugh so hard that my eyes were watery

"If you can take your eyes off of Harold hanging off of the girders of a skyscraper in progress."
He didn't went on real skyscrapers. He used a platform trick/illusion still used today.
Search for Silent Clowns documentary.
He might have done more films but that doesn't mean they were better than Chaplins'

@MuttleyMeen Hm, I remember that documentary and prefer the information closer to the source, so to speak.
I'm not a fan of Chaplin, but it's wonderful that he still has them after so long. :D
