I am a native Benton Harbor, Michigan. I have fond memories of growing up there. I remember the Fun House and Rollercoaster at Silver Beach, Hull Park, Rifle Street, Colfax Ave., Pearl Street, Napier Ave, the House of David whistle, and much, much more. Therefore, I decided to write a song and make a video to celebrate the past and future of Benton Harbor. Enjoy.

  • History is history, it does not matter what the source is. This song and video is a little something I did in my spare time, as a hobby, I did not do this for money. If you have a problem with the words of the song don't listen to it.

  • Get your facts straight.

Mercy Hospital, where my twin brother and I, and many members of my family were born, was located in Benton Harbor when I was born, so don’t call me stupid, stupid.

Below is an overview of the growth of Lakeland HealthCare:

    • 1907 Mercy Hospital opens in Benton Harbor

    • 1951 Memorial Hospital opens in St. Joseph

  • If you would like a copy of the any of my songs please email your request, including the name of the song to: “redm96@yahoo.com”, and I will email the requested song to you.

    Thanks,

    R.P.

  • Are u trying 2 make Benton Harbor look bad...

  • No. Im just telling the history of my hometown, as I remember it, and as it is now. Sometimes the truth hurts, sorry.

  • Im from Benton Harbor too, born and raised and I wouldnt trade growing up there for ANYTHING. After being from there nothing suprises me, I can see straight therough ppl's BS, am an expert winter driver, and am from the most famous lil town nobody's heard of (but then again a lot of ppl have).

I live in Seattle now and ppl recognize my BH gear, some are even from the region. It's a trip.

Love my hometown. Could never live there again but damn I love it.
