Graham Farish Class 47 with sound added. I have added a loksound micro which has 4 functions to control the lighting. I hand painted the drivers and cab just to give it that extra touch. I am very pleased with the sound.

  • Bet this isnt plug and play? as ive been told, farish are a pig to do and most dcc fitters wont touch them, Because of the work involved. Pity, as i would love my farish diesels, sound chipped, but, too expensive AT £400 to £600 .

  • @BROADTRAIN1979 Plug and play...it is now but with massive mods. You are right most train shops wont touch it its tricky and one slip bye bye loco. 400-600 GBP I consider very fair, nobody does it and for good reason. Thanks for the interest. You might get a bargain who knows. Best of luck.

  • It's pretty impressive!! What modifications do you need to make inside the body or to the chassis! How much would you charge to do one?

  • @Davec46026 Thank you for the interest. Depending on the loco generally a complete strip and major mods to the chassis. What is removed has to be replaced so I use lead and carbon fibre to reinforce areas that have all the metal removed. In some cases the chassis has got to be completely split again so you have 4 parts. Sometimes it doesnt work out or you make a slip and its back to the drawing board. Prices generally from about 450GBP + Hope that helps

  • I Don't know how you are you going to get a speaker in 47 612 Titan as this one has A split fuel tank which is the one which was refurbished in the 1980s when BR removed the water tank cat no372-241

  • @BRU11ROAD I had a look at Titan easy answer for you I wouldnt touch it. I couldn't build it to my standards and use the speakers I want, shes a no go.

  • Hi, nice work !

I just purchased a 'n' Farish Class 57/3 Thunderbird, Id love to have the same mods you are using here, I wonder if its feasible.........?? Any info you may have would be greatly appreciated.

  • Where do you get the sound from. Your work is great. :) great video

  • Hello. I am about to buy a hornby thompson L1 in LNER livery, and i have a couple of questions. Firstly are you part of a company or are these all your models that youve done yourself? Secondly where approx. do you live? Finally, if i sent you the dcc ready L1, would you be able to add a dcc decoder, sound chip (and speaker if necessary) and front and rear lamps and what would it cost altoghter. The reason i asked where you live is because im from newport, south wales and wanted to know how far

  • Epic !

  • @howarth004 Cheers glad you enjoyed it. It was tricky especially getting the speaker in without being able to see it.

  • Nice one Martin , you have made an exellent job with that.
