Why are so many people obsessed with people getting owned? What does that even mean within the context of music? Not eveything in life is about competition. I'm sure both these players love listening to each other, and I'm sure they both learn new things from each other. You'll never hear musicians of this quality flaming each other, because they're not thinking in those terms.

I love how at 1:41 Ben plays some nice shredding and then Guthrie goes banana mode shred. Look at Ben's face going FUCK. Awesome jam respect for both of these guys

I'm gonna put my heart and soul into my guitar playing, and when I'm old and frail, I will be able to tell my grandchildren that I have jammed with some of the best musicians in the world. Just two good guitarists having fun here. Guitar has a wide array of styles. Just like buddy Guy can play the blues in his own way and be great at it. Jeff Beck can do the same in his own way. It's hard to explain and understand unless you have been playing music for years and years. It is no longer who is better or not. If your asking the question your stuck in the hair band days for sure. That era is gone.
