just been given a box of 25 of these by my daughter who has just returned from cuba.... i have just spent an hour and a half in the English evening sunshine smoking the first one.

@CigarBunch .. and you have to remember, tobacco is taxed over 100% here in Canada. I had a $130US order mailed in, and ended up paying $258 for it after tax and duty was added. Canada should have lower taxes on cigars and pipe tabac. as they're not nearly as dangerous healthwise as cigarettes.

@CigarBunch They're not drastically different in Cuba. For instance, on a box of Monte's that you'd paid $400 for in Canada, you'll still pay $250 (Cdn equiv) in Cuba. And you're only allowed 2 boxes of 25 to bring back into Canada, so if you go with someone make sure they bring boxes back for you :)

@CigarBunch They are much cheaper in Cuba. I just came back last week and purchased a box of 25 from a La Casa Del Habano (State operated cuban cigar shops) and it cost me 358$ after conversion (good rate lately) and fees whereas this box at my local cigar shop in Ottawa goes for approximately 1200$.

@VarajEEsus Well you are an idiot. No I'm only joking, this guy only buys his cigars from authenticated shops and by the look they are of a high quality. That always shows up in the production especially of cohibas's.

If you go to Cuba I bet they're a whole lot cheaper than they are in the shops. So, I guess from the mention of Toronto you're a fellow Canadian? Or is it a different Toronto I've never heard of :P
