What's the point of the led lights on the base?

@IBLoodSHoT I'm sorry that was a mistake which I realised afterwards. Those are not LED lights. There is only one LED light for the power status which lights up Blue (ON) and Red (STANDBY). Those other 'dots' are just markers for using the OSD Menu.

I am going to buy the same one. Can you tell me, is it possible to connect this monitor with graphic card via HDMI-HDMI cable?

I know that it has a HDMI connector, but on LG site they say that this monitor wasn't built to be connected to PC via HDMI, so it's kinda ackward.

Hi does the monitor automatic dim or brighten up! The Dynamic Contrast! Like when you have a small black square in the center with white background! Or a full black background does it Dim? Is there a way to stop the automatic Dim or brighten up? Thank you!
