There are very few post-World War II wars fought that were legally and morally justified, and I will spend time discussing the ones that I believe are, and explain my legal and ethical reasoning. One key example if the war fought between India in Pakistan in December, 1971. The short war was fought between December 3rd and 16th. India responded in self-defense, immediately put a stop to the atrocities against those in East Pakistan, and did not occupy or attempt régime change in (West) Pakistan. India was in and out within a matter of weeks.

This videos explains the background of Bangladesh and Pakistan, international law and the United States' official policy towards Pakistan at the time. Unfortunately, the United States sided with (West) Pakistan and was against Bengali independence. The United States was also fully aware of the atrocities that Pakistan carried out against East Pakistan from March -- December, 1971, and still continued to support Pakistan. The Soviet Union (USSR), on the other hand, supported the Bengalis, as did India.

  • My grandfather and 11 other inncoent villagers were tied up and shot by the Paki army in 71'. A local handy man risked his own life, snuk back into the village & buried all of them by himself, fighting the vultures & dogs off them. They burned village and killed the cattle, only one calf escaped. My poor gran was left to raise 6 kids by herself, not easy in a poor country. By Gods grace the family made it through. 4 out of 6 are now living in & working in UK. My gran died peacefully in 09 (RIP)

I am very sorry to hear that. A lot of people do not seem to understand the effects of killing cattle, especially in poor countries, and how that starves a number of people. The United States would kill water buffalo just for fun (to them), and it would end up starving children. Extremely sick.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • @AntonBatey Interestingly my mother tells me that the calf which escaped that night, was used as the dowry for her wedding... even though my dad wanted nothing from them, but like you say cattle is the life line for many societies.

  • @AntonBatey Thank you very much indeed for your time and effort. Documentaries like this help us to remember those innocent people that died at a time when most of the world didnt care or didnt even know the suffereing went on. Many people have been left destitute by thier evil actions. /watch?v=xwwPbkyZVJo .How many thousands of people like this poor girl? Thnaks again..
