Abraham Lincoln:
"I will say, then, that I am not, nor ever have been, in favor of bringing about in any way the social and political equality of the white and black races." Lincoln-Douglas Debates, September 1858, Charleston.
Union Army General William T. Sherman:
"I am honest in my belief that it is not fair to my men to count negros as equals. Let us capture negros, of course, and use them to the best advantage." Letter to Gen. Hallec - September 14, 1864. O.R. Series 1, Vol. 38

this is true the south never brought a slave into this country, plus they had more slaves than the south did it is documented the southen slaves fought along side the confederates to protect their homeland but as usual the north wrote the history books on the war of northern aggression so it makes us the bad guy tanks for sharing

@gascv11 Are you really sorry? It sounds like you are enjoying yourself. For what reason is unclear to me.

Partially true. A few northern States did, but they allowed existing slaves to remain in slavery until sold. Look at the 1860 census and you will even find slaves in New Jersey for example.
Also the northern shipping compnaies were still making vast profits from the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade.
Once again, comments like these are why these videos were made.

Well comment like yours are why we needed to do these videos. If you would read the notes from the Constitutional Convention of 1787 and/or the Constitution you would see that the 20 years was how long the northern shipping companies would be able to operate the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade!
The Union Army was totally segegrated! Black regiments had ALL white officers and the black troops were paid less than white troops.

what a bunch of lies! the founders gave the south 20 yrs to end slavery after the ratification of the constitution. the south wanted slaves to be counted as citizens and be represented as any other citizen but with out any rights. the north had no segregation for a while until a democrat(woodrow wilson) enacted segregation again. one of the main reasons for the revolution was because they wanted to end slavery but britain would not let them.
The US Constitution was signed in 1787.
Mass. (1784), Connecticut (1784), New Hampshire (1783) and Pennsylvania (1780) had all outlawed slavery before the Constitution was signed, contrary to what the video claims.
Also, slavery was not outlawed in the North because of the immigration of poor Europeans. Immigration did not begin in earnest until the 1820's–after slavery had been outlawed in the North. (From 1790 to 1820, the immigration level was steady but increased tenfold from 1820 to 1840.)

This doesn't change the fact that the South is MUCH more racist than the North.

@breathingreflection
Then how come most of the KKK is up north???? Maybe you need to look in a mirrow.

@gascv11 1) Most of the KKK is in the SOUTH. 2) What's a mirrow?
breathingreflection 1 year ago
@breathingreflection You are wrong, the majority of the current day KKK is up north. Sorry to disappoint you. The "mirrow" was a typo, should have been mirror. Sorry that caused you a problem.
