No way, this is not "traditional Romanian style", maybe it's a Jewish song from Bucovina. After the Austrians annexed the north-east of Moldova in 1775 (and they gave the name "Bucowina" to this new region - which never existed as region before and with this name!), they settled there many Jews and many Ukrainians. So I asume that this song could be Jewish.

@djokinho1 not at all!Goran Bregovic was inspired from all Balcans so he was inspired a lot from traditional romanian music as he admited himself!after all Shantel knows better were he was inspired !Bucovina!
