This is a follow-up to the Healing through sharing video. The song made me visualize the life and times of my parents. What there lives were and how they were raised in the midwest. Coming of age after a childhood in the depression only to face the onslaught and fear that gripped the world in WWII.
It was there deep love of family and the strength of faith that got them through. Never have so many owed so few so much! How true. They are gone now, but I can still feel all of that love from here.

i think about my grandma when i hear this song, make me think of her and 9 kids out in the middle of nowhere nothing but fields of white clouds!

The Blackjack tree no longer stands so I'm told; but it keeps it's immortality as long as I can walk you to the spot where it grew. The words and scope of this song crosses so many dimensions and for so many people; I'm glad I know its origins. I can't thank you enough for the memory.
