In your experience, do the valves pound up in the stem reducing clearance?

Or does the gap widen reducing potential performance?

Which "way" do they need adjusting over time?

If its the former then you an go a looong time before you bother, if its the latter if I don't dot it Ill burn the valves.

Uncle Dave, sorry for the late reply. I haven't used the generator heavily in a few months. But the last couple time that i opened things up to adjust the valves, they didn't need any adjustment at all. So I put them right back together.

Ii adjusted them at 300 and 600 hours. And checked them at 1000, but they were fine.

I use a filter with my twin aux tanks, so haven't had any problems with the carb after 1500hours.

May be if you're in the mood, you can post a video of cleaning the carbs.

Thanks for a great video,how often should I adj valves. I love this genset except for having to clean the carb once a year, it's 5 years old with appox 2000 hours and many oil changes. still runs as new
