if she is so good why she left judo competition? she has never been world champ and she barely got bronze at olymopics through repesage.

all her oponents outside judo are joke.

I think that if you have well known credentials in Judo like Rousey does, you have to compete in Advanced. Collegiate wrestlers are always pushed into the advanced divisions at tournaments, so yeah Rousey is basically sandbagging if she's in anything other than advanced division. The other option would be to compete in like men's intermediate or something like that.

@karakteran you obviously don't know much. she left because judo can only take you so far just like wreslters leave and go to wwe or ufc because there is a limit to how much money you can make. examples randy couture, brock lesnar, karo parysan, akiyama, joe warren etc.  you can also add jiu jitsu players to that list

@karakteran In an interview on sherdog she stated that her Olympic pursuit left her completely broke with no real world work experience. All she ever knew was Judo and there is really no future in it.

olympic medal in Judo is a solid and underestimated base for the right people to get into MMA.

In a similar way as Jiu-Jitzu is.

If you watch Royce Gracie's videos taking the best of other martial arts, the Judo guy gave him the most trouble.
