After my contentment with "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" (my first video), I decided to try something ever more difficult. There's something about White Christmas...it's so mellow, I just can't imagine it turning out the way it did, but I think it works. Did this all in like 10 minutes...didn't mix it or anything, just went straight with the flow. The whistle, however, was a last minute thing and I switched the sitar for mandolins. I like to try something different. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. What do you think?

Oh, and I dug up a video of a snow storm in Union Square Park.

  • ;) I think you should use naturally toned instruments instead of computer edited sounds.

  • oh yea i have quite a few of those. i love strings...particularly cellos. i will be releasing them soon! i would lose the whole experimental vibe and it would be a little too conformist for me to use those sounds on a song like "white christmas", but i see where you're going. thanks.

  • i couldn't stop laughing through the song. this is such bullshit

  • lol bullshit happens when you work in [under] 10mins. i got bored last winter and sometimes the creativity can go overboard. check out my page. i'm sure you'll find something you like. thanks.

  • you ruined a great song ]:(

  • lol i'm sorry. i'll make it up to you this winter. this was probably the second video i ever put up. i didn't expect everyone to like it. i really wanted to get varied opinions...so, thanks for your input.

  • Nice idea... Good job. Fix it a little bit more...

    Thank you :-)

  • This is TIght, but I agree with My Mans Mike...Dude, you need a heavier Kick...probably a Kick 9 or 10!

  • wow you know your stuff! i didn't want to spend too much on time on it. it was just for fun. but you're right. the drums are really light. i don't usually mix anything on my videos but i'm starting to now. thanks.

  • I would swith the drum sound for a heavier drum, it's too passive, and the beat needs to be eq'ed cause the mandolins are way too high, and steals frequency in the sound spectrum, but the idea is great, and with the right mix it'll be great, but in 10 min. what you did is pretty impressive!
