Understanding and capturing images of internal organs and tissues is acquired through the specialized training of a Sonographer. Diagnostic Medical Sonographers use sound waves (ultrasound) to create images that will assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the cardiovascular system, digestive tract, and aid in the monitoring of pregnancies. Specialized procedures such as biopsies of the breast, prostate and other organs are performed in ultrasound.

high school preparation: Academic high school diploma with emphasis on Biology, Physics, Mathematics and English. No grade below 70% in any of these courses and an overall minimum average of 75%.

right now i am in my second year of college at Eastern Washington University. i want to be an ultrasound tech but i dont know if i should switch schools or if i can take classes here that will help this career. PLEASE help! great video btw.
