@dfgrune The other dude is Sampha, he sings on a lot of the tracks. He's the Johnny Depp to Tim Burton.

Hello all music lovers. Can somebody answer me regarding to SBTRKT's live set. If he's mixing on the fly with Ableton, why do he needs a headphone for cue?
ElfiePrimaPutraX 2 months ago
@ElfiePrimaPutraX - Even with ableton you still need to cue your songs because you want to ensure the warping is right, and also you want to check levels and song position.

@SeeSickNYC Oh alright. Thanks bro. But can i say it's also not necessary since the likes of Flying Lotus, Nosaj Thing play live without cue-ing?
ElfiePrimaPutraX 2 months ago
@ElfiePrimaPutraX - Dude-owski, djing and playing live are two totally separate things. Lotus is actually playing clips of his music de constructed. Djing is mixing two totally different tracks.. big difference man. your own track deconstructed is almost always warped and fire on bar or whatever quantization you set etc..

@krtouchdown - Also, if ableton ever doubles your songs in terms of bpm, when you set the warp marker and set the warp style try doing it as _warp from here at xxx bpm. Maybe that will help broseph..
