Go to carcomplaints and check out the ford escape. Lots of problems especially with the transmission

I had my G35x in for service and got one of these for a rental... I can honestly say was impressed with the Escape. My only complaints were the ugly/plain center console and a little more power would've been nice, but I was driving the 2.5. I assume the 3.0L would've been plenty powerful!

What I like about the Ford Escape is the Real SUV/Truck design. It is not trying to be a car-like vehicle, or just a bigger version of a wagon. It is a real small SUV. It just need low and hi range 4WD gear box and it will be complete, like the Suzuki Vitara.
