Meet Pat the Cat, a cattle-killing jaguar from Belize whos had five root canals. Saved from death, he now resides at the Milwaukee County Zoo (Wis.). Pat the jaguar was the scourge of Belizean ranchers. As his habitat and wild prey disappeared, he killed cattle. He damaged all four of his canines during his wild life. Before ranchers could kill Pat, he was rescued by a wildlife refuge organization and shipped to the Belize Zoo. He got five root canals. Zoo Director Sharon Matola sang to him, named him Pat the Cat and got him used to living in a zoo. Then he traveled to the Milwaukee County Zoo in Wisconsin. In this video, Noelle Steffen, the Zoological Society of Milwaukees fall 2008 communications intern, interviews Neil Dretzka about Pat the Cat. Dretzka is the feline area supervisor at the Milwaukee County Zoo.
