Tribute to the departure of Cristobal Huet, former Montreal Canadiens goalie.
He was traded to the Washington Capitals in Febuary 2008, for a lowly 2nd round draft pick. He spent 3 years with the Canadiens, and became one of the more recognized goalies in the NHL within that span.
Best of luck was granted to him during his time in Washington. However, he opted to sign a 4 year contract with the Chicago Blackhawks during the summer rather than stay with the Washington Capitals.
Best of luck in Chicago then. You made only a short, yet brilliant run with Washington!

huet isn't that great. don't know how he used to play, but he sucks now and i dont know why huet is still playing for the Blackhawks. He let in EIGHT goals against the Blue Jackets

I was pissed when they traded Huet. I don't think he was gonna lead Montreal to any playoff success, but at least keep him around in case Price stumbled. Gainey put too much pressure on a rookie goalie. Gainey's a moron. I'm glad he's gone.
