Well, yea. WP is a flea bite compared to Squaw. It's more in the visuals than the challenge although the trees are fir rather than pine. Less than an hour from Eugene? Let me clarify that. For me it's less than an hour por que I live 11 miles east of Eugene on HWY 58. Problem with WP is the runs are short..
Unfortunately, WP just isnt enough for me to easy not enough backcountry terrain, Go to bachelor if u think WP is better then bachelor and steeper you are on crack. If u think RTS is the hardest in Oregon go to hood and bachelor.

Willamette pass has been referred to by some as "little Squaw Valley. Lots of runs and steeper than "Flatchelor".
Check out the Squaw run on the tube. About 8 minutes of beautiful downhill vid! Check the similarities.
