Here is the video I shot from my camera placement during the final launch of Discovery on February 24, 2011. This will give you a great idea of the sights and sounds when viewing a launch from the press site at the Kennedy Space Center. This camera placement is about 3 miles from launch pad 39A looking out across the Turning Basin. You will notice how quiet the audio is at the start, building to a distorted peak at about 30 seconds. I attempted to add an approximate mission clock, but it is admittedly not precise. Also, this was a lock-down shot, but eventually I adjusted the framing. So Discovery does fly out of frame but stay with it for the corrected angle. You will also hear the sounds of photographers near me taking pictures and cheering the shuttle and astronauts. Quite an amazing experience!
Wow!! That was at 21:50h, right? Looks like a wonderful evening ;)

While you were filming this, I got let out of class early so that we could watch this outside. I go to school a few miles north.

@RippedWookie I'm glad you got to watch it. I guess 134 just got delayed until the 29th.
