ok is there a way I can know if these machines contain petroleum-based ingredients in their soaps...and does the arm ever get any closer than 12" from the vehicle when spraying

Actually the Washworld High Velocity is very similar to a Laserwash 4000. Many of the parts are interchangeable. It does have a better chemical mixing system.

Notice the full canopy rinse. Washworld had this long before PDQ added it to their G5 model.

The products used are supplied by the local servicing distributor. There is usually a phone number listed on the building which will alllow you to contact the owner for more information on those products.
The spray arch is designed to contour the front, rear and sides of the vehicle at a distance from the vehicle of approximately 14” to 18” for optimal cleaning. If the spray arch were to be closer or farther away from the surface, cleaning of the sides of the vehicle could be compromised.
