  • Are these crickets available to buy? I have never seen crickets this size in Virginia. We have brown crickets under houses and black crickets out in the yards but they would be only 1/4 the size at best to the ones in the video. The only pets I have now are Kefir grains ( little blobs of jelly that are colonies of pro-biotic bacteria) that turn milk into a drink also know as Kefir (a very nutritious pro-biotic cousin to Yogurt).

  • Can u do me a favor get on ur knees and smile like a donut

  • but u know what i try to get the big one but when i step on the grass all the baby cricket are jumping but i wanna get the daddy cricket one man1/!!! how can i get them how about can u make a video show me how to get a cricket plz plz plz

  • @vrap007

i use those plastic slurpy cups with lids to catch them. i just walk through grass and watch for crickets to jump out of the way. They are clumsy hoppers so theyre very easy to catch with your bare hands but i use the cup and the lid to trap it. Those cheap butterfly nets they have at the dollar stores also helps. and bring some containers to catch it in..

  • due but they are all under grass so what i have to do to get them i'm sorry because i want them so bad

Mormon Crickets (Anabrus Simplex) is a shield back katydid belong to the diverse sub family Tettigoniinae. There are many different species in the North American countryside each with different calling sounds. Listen to the sound of chirping as you drive by. They habitat in grass and shrub lands like sage bush. Now would be the time to catch them because they will lay eggs and die in Fall and Winter.
