Another popular Arc'Teryx creation, the Bora 65 combines durability, easy gear access, great ergonomics, and large carrying capacity. If you're looking for a multi-day pack that will take all the punishment you can dish out and still ask for more you might want to give it a try.

It features:
• V-stay suspension system transfers load to your center of gravity to help keep you in balance
• Laminated, 4-layer foam hipbelt is thermoformed to fit the shape of your hips and reduce pressure points; adjustable angle offers individual fit
• Contoured, padded shoulder straps distribute the load; thermoformed foam back panel has ventilation channels to keep you cool
• Large-volume outer kangaroo pocket holds bulky or wet gear, is accessible from top or front and features a drain hole
• Laminated internal kangaroo pocket keeps items free from water and dirt
• Zippered lower sleeping bag compartment has an adjustable, roll-up divider
• Top-lid pocket detaches to become waistpack for summit attempts or short day hikes
• Eliminating zipper flaps, the easy-to-use WaterTight™ zippers are designed for protection in extremely wet weather
• Hydration-ready sleeve with tube port accepts a 100 fl. oz. reservoir (sold separately)
• Material(s): Made of RipStorm™ nylon and 420-denier WaterTight™ fabric, with an impregnated polyurethane backing, for abrasion- and water-resistance
• Approximate volume: 4,030 + 610 cu. in. / 66 + 10 liters
• Fits torso: 18 - 21 inches (45.72-53.34cm)
• Fits waist/hips: 32 - 37 inches (81.28-94cm)
• Number of pockets: 4 + main compartment
• Number of stays: 2

  • This is like the Civilian version of the ILBE Bagpack from the Marines, is made by Arc'Teryx also. Great review!

  • i lie everything about this bag. I think that the first compartment you unzipped is probably for a sleeping bag. Is there a place for a bladder?

  • Nice backpack that's been replaced by the Altra 65. Personally, I prefer the Bora 65. It was still made in Canada. Altra is made in Asia.

  • The down compartment isn't for wet stuff it is for a sleeping bag and blow up mattress. and the small gaps or holes on the sides of the separator are there so you'll be able to put your tent poles all the way into the beg. pretty basic stuff but let's not be petty =]

  • just wondering - what is your favorite pack around 60L? Thanks, love your vids.

  • 0:50

I just pictured like two dozen hands reaching for the bag at the same time like "ooh, yes this is spongey"

  • does it come in all black...?

  • Side zip is sweeet! like heavy ballistic nylon or cordura for shape retention though thin nylon gets UV damage even if "resistant".

  • Great review. I was looking on Arc's website but there are only 80 and 95 liter models and not in this color, whic I really like. Does that mean that this model is EOL?

  • i have the 80 liter and it is the best pack I have ever used. I have been on treks it about 16 different countries with it and couldnt be happier with its performance. Super comfortable as well
