I heard that you can import samples into Logic and Pro Tools from Snapper? So can I cute out a snare from a .wav drum loop by highlighting the snare and dragging it into the Logic 8 arrange window?

Yup. There is even a button in the shortcuts that allows you to just click on that and take it to Pro Tools.
