I'm going to sell all of my things and leave home with my band/best friends who i love and always will love. I refuse to settle for society's idea of what my life should be. Life should not be spent working a shitty job for a shitty paycheck. I am going to live a free man, amongst free men and women. I have never been so clear. I am at this moment happier than i have ever been.

I couldn't get to sleep tonight and so I came to this track. Somehow, I have this overwhelming sense that things will be alright. This is strange because I had not been in a particularly dreadful mood. Still, things pass. Destructive cycles end and something must be created. Nature abhors a vacuum. Therefore, in the wake of nothing - there comes teh start of something. This song reminds me of that.

A wave of sadness washed over me while listening to this. I'm not sure why, but all of Balmorhea's music really gets to me.

to attentively because producers like this and many more pour their heart and soul into the music they create. its what defines them as a person on a creative level, a form of art. most people see music as back round noise. they don't spend the time to appreciate the effort put forth by the producer. but either way. to each his/her own. we all have our own taste and its a wonderful thing. expressing who we are and how we feel inside through beauty which is music. : )

so true. i personally enjoy that everyone i know listens to and has a different taste in music then me. i love it because it makes me feel original and i like being set apart from everyone i know. the only thing i disagree with, in most people, is that.. they don't really "LISTEN" to the music. they usually just agree with what everyone else listens to because most people just follow trends and long to fit in with the rest of society in every way. music should always be respected and listened...

That's kind of the flaw in your argument, though: if you only listen music to be happy, you're denying yourself the whole spectrum of human emotion, or more clearly, the spectrum of (sonic) beauty. Of course in the long run it's all about "happiness" or plenitude, but in the short run it's about intensity. So it's not a matter of "I don't like you listening to what makes you happy" so much as "I believe the emotion carried in this music that moves you is weak, and therefore not THAT beautiful".
