@vernugt Right, very haunting! I am not yet too familiar with organ music by Bach, but I can definitely say that this is one of my favourite pieces.

@AufsMaul22 And yet, remember: Christ's passion was shorter than anyone expected, especially Pilot: with surprise he had to ask the Centurion to confirm that he was already dead by the third hour. But then you do come around: especially when people play something about their Savior's death, it is going to get a most individual expression.

Do not let Koopman play anything slow tempo. He'll .. convert.. it into something only for his own taste.

I have seen him playing this piece from Bach/Busoni in the church just in front of my home, this was so wonderful !!!! :-D
And I'm now playing it on the piano, but of course it doesn't reach this level of perfection ! ;-)

Excellent -- I love Koopman and have many of his CDs. This is one the greatest pieces ever written.
