I'm from E.S. and I know the laguna de Alegria very well. Im so sorry you guys got lost over there. To go down through the crater/forest is quite impossible unless you have the right equipment [ climbing gear ] Im sure you saw that when you got to beach. Good video dude, really awesome quality and good editing. What camera you were using?

@503mapachin There were no certified guides, so it's difficult to know if you have a good guide or not. We just tried to find a local to take us. Unfortunately, the boy didn't have enough experience.

@503mapachin You can't just walk down the crater, it's too steep and full of giant crevices. You have to know where the trail is, because it's one of only a few places where you can reach the bottom.

@gravityman000 There are too options to get there. One is a 30 minute easy walk to the lakes edge, another is the long hike to the top of the crater and then down through the forest to the lake. We obviously took the long hike and it didn't work out well at all. But, the next day, we did the short walk and it was very pleasant.
We are always searching for adventure, so the long hike is usually our first choice.
