  • Thats nothing!!!! Youve got everything still!!! I lost just about everything in my house fire. My house was started by my special needs child with matches. He learned how to strick a match by watching me light the BBQ pit when NFL football is on.

  • @bozothefighterpilot I'm sorry for your loss. Clearly you're feeling a lot of pain because of it. I still relive the memory of my fire. And yes, perhaps we were luckier than most, but we still experienced a significant loss of treasured photos and mementos, time out of our home (10 months) while it was being rebuilt, and some level of post-traumatic stress. I still freeze when I get a personal phone call at work, always expecting the worst news.

I hope all turned out well for you. Peace.

  • as a 28 year volunteer fireman the only thing I can say it there is no reason at all to take out EVERY window if the house. we had a guy in our fire house that was put on suspension for breaking every window in the house and the fire was a porch fire that spread to a front bedroom. all they had to do was open the top of the window to vent the smoke and heat out. I hope you found your cat

  • @AmberDanielle101 I wish I could support your observations of the fire, but knowing several firefighters myself, I can say that they did what they had to based on the framing of my house. We had no fire stops, and the fire was inside the walls, drawn into the central hallway on the second floor and into the roof. That they saved the house from being burned to the ground is in of itself a job well done.

The cats were all saved. And the house has been completely rebuilt.

  • I hope you find your kitty cat, I have prayed that you will recover your losses and that a new day full of sunshine will light your way.

  • Milo showed up the next day. Everything will sooner or later be back to normal...

  • YIPES! Sometimes the fire department will do more damage than the actuall fire while theyre chasing it through the voids in the walls and under the floors. Thats what sucks about having those damn balloon framed houses with no fire stops. I sleep with an ABC fire extinguisher right beside me, so incase one starts while im alseep, i can catch it in its early stages and knock er down.

  • Im so sorry for your loss. just watching the video was hard. my dads freinds house was burned to the groun and it touched me so much because i was in that house my hole life

  • Have you moved back into this house? Can you update with a video of it after repairs?

  • @sammaa1997 Well mocking someone with jibberish comments after they just had a fire is kind of childish.

  • @TheWaynelds That comment from 1 year ago, get over it

  • @sammaa1997 that doesnt even make sense. try again

  • @AmberDanielle101 If a fire starts in my house, would it be a good idea to open the windows upstairs to vent the heat/smoke (if i had time of course and i have 2 sets of stairs leading to the 2nd floor, (even though i'd be using my 3 ABC fire extinguishers during that time) I always figured i should break all the windows on the 1st floor before the fire dept arrives, but later found out that its just supplying more oxygen to the fire. but wouldnt opening the windows upstairs be ok?

  • I am sorry for your loss i had a house fire a few months ago and it was quite a bit worse than yours but the worst part was losing our animals but again it was a long time ago... however the Joplin tornado pretty much made me forget about it since we live in Springfield after i went to Joplin it was so much more than our house fire was so i should feel grateful i had more than them.. still you are lucky i just wish i had as much still but it is all good (:

  • were was this
