Over the Easter weekend the Great Central Railway decided to put a Eastern Region theme over Easter Hoilday which ment all engines were to have LNER origins in use was National Collections Robinsons 04 63601, Gresley N2 1744 and A1 60163 Tornado on its final weekend at the line before heading back to the main line. I paid a visit to the line on the Saturday.
Part 1 shows the morning of the event.
I would like to thank GCR and the A1 Trust for organising the event.

  • excellent coverage mate. in the shot of the N2 leaving rothley saw myself run to take a picture and then fold my tripod up lol. AND i'm in your way of the shot at charnwood water. i look like an ape with my camera lol. all the shots were excellent, looking forward to part 2.
