Rep. Bachmann appeared on CNN's American Morning today calling for government spending levels to be brought down. Additionally, she hopes for Congressional leadership to allow a straight up-or-down vote on taxes. Once passed, the American people will be able to keep more of their own money.

  • Great lady teaches school to the media, again.

  • @1eyednewt If it was coming out of their own pockets, they wouldn't be spending it at all.

  • Taxes to redistribute wealth is nothing more than thieves useing government force to steal other peoples money.

Social Justice is when you get to keep the money you worked hard to earn.

"Any man who claims you owe him a living is a cannibal.

Whether foreign or domestic, he is a cannibal.

If you choose to help him, that is one thing.

If he demands you "help" as his "right," he is a leech, a sycophant, a parasite.

He is a cannibal seeking to survive by consuming you."

    Paul Harvey, 1964

  • it's only a deficit if you're counting your chickens before they are hatched - hello? the tax cuts do not add to the deficit it keeps taxes the same instead of raising them... the unemployment extension, however, massively adds to the deficit.

  • Geeze, I think the gooberment could spend my money much more wisely!

  • Great, glad to hear it. Now that we will have more money, what are Republicans going to do cut the size of government. Notice I didn't say entitlements, I said government. Congress needs to start talking in cuts of 100's of billions of dollars, not 100's of millions of dollars. Anybody on the hill with the guts...I doubt it. NOBODY is advocating cutting the size of government. Disgusting!
