This is a video of my 1946 ford super deluxe driving down the road . It is the same car that i posted the engine running . Remember this is not restored at all. its taken alot of time and love to keep her running . it does have a heater and defroster . It only has 3 gears and a one speed rear. As you can hear it runs good and drives nice. I HAVE NOT REBUILT THE ENGINE AT ALL! The header for the engine running is 1946 flathead 239 v8. Please log in and rate it. Thank you for watching my videos.

  • right on man! I'm in the process of resurrecting a 46 super deluxe with the suicide doors in back...It sat for the past 5 years-I lubed the cylinders rewired the thing and whallah-I got the engine to turn over(no ignition yet) but I'm currently rebuilding the carb and changing all the fluids-any tips or things to avoid with these beasts? Its my first super D-

  • @Jeenyus1983 aside from everything have done before the first start you crank it to get oil pressure. then make sure you have fresh fuel supply. once everything seems good to go try her out . it should sound kind of like a sewing machine. you may need to use some up dated parts in the fuel system as newer fuel dry rots rubber. don't use lead sub as this will gum up the vavle train but you can use marvile mistery oil in place this will help clean the fuel system and intake system.replacepoints2

  • @bigmamerjammer Seems to me people who respect and love these cars enough to endure months of restoration and rusted bolts are a dieing breed, most of the little punks now just want a new car.

  • Nice running old Ford. I've got a 39 Deluxe sedan, currently non running but some day...
